Privacy Policy

How LupaDólar collects, uses, and protects personal data.

1. Overview

LupaDólar is an informational app that aggregates USD/PEN exchange rates and analytics. We process personal data only as necessary to provide the service, support users, and maintain platform security. If you have any questions, contact [email protected] or [email protected].

2. Data We Collect

  • Account & Profile: name, email address, hashed password, preferred language, timezone, and subscription status.
  • Usage Analytics: filter selections, feature usage frequency, session timestamps, and the number of times sections are viewed. This data is stored in aggregate or pseudonymous form and helps improve charts, alerts, and premium features.
  • Device & Technical: hashed or plain IP address, device type, OS version, and app version. IPs are stored in plain text only when strictly necessary (e.g., active sessions); otherwise they are hashed for logging, rate limiting, and security monitoring.
  • Subscription & Payments: receipts and transaction identifiers supplied by Google Play Billing or Apple App Store. We do not receive card numbers or other sensitive payment credentials; refunds and cancellations are handled by the respective app store.

3. How We Use Data

  • Provide account access, maintain your alert preferences, and personalize charts.
  • Detect fraud, monitor suspicious activities, rate-limit abusive traffic, and investigate error logs.
  • Deliver customer support and respond to requests (including account deletion).
  • Generate aggregated, anonymized insights about app usage to improve features.

We do not sell personal data or share it with third-party advertisers. Operational subprocessors are limited to infrastructure services (hosting, databases, email delivery) that act on our instructions.

  • Contractual necessity: account management, premium subscriptions, alert delivery.
  • Legitimate interests: maintaining security, generating anonymized analytics, detecting fraud.

Personal data is retained while your account remains active. If you delete your account (see section 8), we remove personal identifiers except for limited logs retained in anonymized form for security and analytics purposes.

5. Security

  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
  • IP addresses are hashed in logs unless required in plain text for active sessions or fraud investigations.
  • Access to production data is limited to authorized personnel.

6. Children

The app is rated for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

7. User Rights

  • Access & Correction: request a copy of your data or update inaccuracies.
  • Deletion: use the in-app delete account option or email [email protected].
  • Withdraw Consent / Opt Out: unsubscribe from emails or delete your account to stop processing.
  • Complaints: reach us via the contacts above. We will work with relevant authorities if needed.

8. Account Deletion

In the app you can initiate deletion. We queue the removal of your profile, alerts, and stored preferences. Aggregated usage metrics remain in anonymized form, and security logs may be retained in hashed form to maintain platform integrity.

9. Updates

We may update this policy to reflect new features or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated in-app or through our support channels. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance of the revised policy.
