Luis Galindo, LupaDólar editor

Meet Luis Galindo, the editorial lead responsible for LupaDólar and its analysis of Peru’s dollar market.

Luis Galindo is the owner and editor of LupaDólar, a Peruvian project focused on explaining USD/PEN exchange rates and their practical effects on people and businesses.

My work at LupaDólar

I select topics that can help readers understand Peru’s foreign-exchange market, review the sources used, and edit articles before publication. Analysis separates facts published by institutions and companies, original calculations, and interpretations that depend on assumptions.

The rate comparison and the editorial content serve different purposes: the comparison organizes available public quotes, while the articles add context. LupaDólar does not process transactions and does not replace direct confirmation of a rate, fee, or condition with a provider.

Automation can help identify sources and organize information, but it does not replace editorial verification. When a figure changes or a source becomes unavailable, the article states its date and limitations, and material corrections are reflected in the update date.
